Dr Lana Naismith, Vet + Clinic Lead

Dr Lana is a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian with a wealth of
experience in the field. Having spent over half her life in veterinary
clinics, she brings a deep understanding of animal care and welfare to
Inverloch Animal Doc.

Having worked as a vet nurse in general practice and emergency hospitals, Dr Lana pursued her passion for veterinary medicine, graduating with First Class Honours from the University of Melbourne Vet School. Her journey led her to the Geelong/Bellarine Peninsula area, where she honed her skills as a veterinarian, focusing on emergency and critical care, diabetes management, and soft tissue surgery.

Dr Lana's love for animals extends beyond her professional life. She has a soft spot for Golden Retrievers and shares her home with two - Billie and Sunday - along with two cats and a few chickens. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, skiing, hitting the gym, and soaking up the sun at the beach with her friends and family - with her furry friends tagging along of course.

Joining the Inverloch Animal Doc team initially as a casual Vet, Dr Lana quickly found herself right at home and was lured by the clinic's atmosphere and the warmth of the team to make the move permanent, and now serves as the Clinic Lead. Dr Lana is excited to continue her journey in Inverloch, connecting with more members of the community and their cherished pets, and providing top-notch care to furry friends in need.
